Shares selling....... snow melting?

Dear friends and vegetable enthusiasts,

Greetings!

February is coming to a close, and we of Wild Winds Farm CSA are pleased to report that we have sold half of our available shares for the 2010 growing season. This means that there are just 15 open spaces left, so I urge you to send in your deposit ($300) and contract this week - by March 1 - if you would like to reserve a spot.

Annie and I have been hard at work since our meetings in January. Nearly all of our seeds have arrived (though our snap peas are still on back order) and we are gearing up to start our first seedlings a-germinating on the first of March. We will be working outside by the end of March, building up beds and planting in the very first moments of spring.

We are truly excited about the landscape of local agriculture here in Erie, and will be giving our all this season to grow both vegetables and community, working toward an agriculturally supported community and a sustainable economy.

Some notes for those who would like to sign up:
1. If sending in a check, please make it out to Megan Rulli.
2.. Our first deadline for payments is March 1. If you need to extend this deadline, please call us (806-3636) and we can arrange a payment plan option, but in order to reserve a spot making a deposit of $300 by March 1st is recommended - we are filling spots on a first-come, first-serve basis.
3. Make sure to send in the membership contract - if splitting a share, please include the split share form with the contact information and signature of the share partner.
4. Welcome to Wild Winds CSA, it is great to have you on board!

If you have any questions about payments, pick ups, or vegetables, please do not hesitate to ask through email or phone conversation.

Best wishes in these last weeks of winter,

your farmers,

Megan and Annie
